Dr. Sharie Scott, MA., LPC, CCTP

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) Certification, and a Texas-certified educator. I proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years. During my military career, I gained a wealth of knowledge working with sailors and their families suffering from addictions, depression, trauma, and other life challenges. My military experience, coupled with 9 years of service in the public education system, has exposed me to the family unit's devastating struggles. Therefore, my passion is building collaborative counseling relationships to restore and strengthen this vital network.

My theoretical orientation is Cognitive-Behavioral Theory (CBT) and Solution-Focused Based Therapy (SFBT).  Both approaches focus on solutions to empower individuals to improve their quality of life.  The human mind is highly complex.  Therefore, an eclectic approach is often needed.  CBT and SFBT are ideal for integrating with other approaches as needed. My mission is to provide a safe, judgmental-free, supportive environment where individuals can heal.

My degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University, a Master of Arts in Special Education from Phoenix University, a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling (Marriage and Family) from Liberty University, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University.
