REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must meet the applicable education, licensure, and professional requirements for their discipline and maintain all required credentials in good standing.
Education & Licensure
Applicants must hold the appropriate graduate-level degree from an accredited institution and possess an active, current Texas license in one of the following:
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), where applicable
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Candidates must maintain all applicable state licensure and professional requirements, including required continuing education, ethics training, and reporting obligations.
Professional Requirements
Candidates should have:
• A minimum of three years of professional experience involving direct, face-to-face client interaction preferred
• Completion of all applicable supervised clinical experience required for their license
• Completion of applicable national or state licensing examinations
• Compliance with all applicable Texas licensing board requirements
• Adherence to applicable professional codes of ethics
• An individual National Provider Identifier (NPI), or willingness to obtain one
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills
• The ability to establish caring, compassionate, and professional rapport with clients
• A commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality
• A willingness to collaborate with other professionals and team members
• Reliable internet access for telehealth services
• Ability to meet all applicable background and credentialing requirements
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, ethical, and evidence-informed counseling services to individuals, couples, families, teens, and/or adults based on their qualifications and scope of practice.
Provide Clinical Services
Provide evidence-based and clinically appropriate therapeutic interventions based on each client's unique needs.
Areas of practice may include:
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
• Family-focused interventions
• Trauma-informed care
• Grief and bereavement support
• Crisis intervention
• Suicide prevention and safety planning
• Stress management
• Problem-solving interventions
• Behavioral health interventions
• Family and relationship support
• Health and wellness interventions
• Christian-informed counseling, when appropriate and requested by the client
Assess & Develop Treatment Plans
Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, objectives, and interventions.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies as clinically appropriate.
Collaborate With Others
Work collaboratively with other Hope Seed professionals and community resources when appropriate to support clients with complex or multifaceted needs.
Participate in consultation and case collaboration while maintaining all applicable confidentiality and professional standards.
Maintain Professional Documentation
Complete client documentation, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required records accurately and promptly.
Maintain appropriate communication and respond to organizational and client-related communications in a timely and professional manner.
Uphold Hope Seed Standards
Represent Hope Seed with professionalism, integrity, compassion, and excellence.
Contribute to a positive team culture and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth, personal development, and lifelong learning.
Be a Team Player
Bring a teachable spirit and a willingness to collaborate.
Share constructive feedback, contribute effective treatment strategies, and support the growth and development of fellow team members.
Support the Mission
Help promote awareness of Hope Seed and its services within the community.
Participate in outreach, educational opportunities, community events, or other mission-aligned activities as appropriate.

Other Responsibilities
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned within the scope of the role, professional qualifications, and applicable regulations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The following qualifications are preferred but may not be required for every applicant:
• Previous experience in mental health counseling or a related field
• Experience working with teens, adults, and families
• Experience providing trauma-informed care
• Experience with grief and bereavement
• Experience with crisis intervention
• Additional addiction or substance use credentials, such as Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), when applicable
• Familiarity with community mental health resources in the Houston area
• Strong leadership qualities
• Christian faith and the ability to provide Christian-informed counseling when appropriate
• Fluency in Spanish
• Experience with telehealth
• Experience working with insurance panels
• Existing insurance panel credentialing
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• A passion for community-based care
• An entrepreneurial and growth-oriented spirit
SCHEDULING & SERVICE DELIVERY
We are looking for professionals who can provide services through a combination of in-person and telehealth care, based on client needs, availability, and organizational requirements.
Ideal availability may include:
• Morning appointments
• Afternoon appointments
• Select evening availability, as needed
• In-person sessions
• HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions
Scheduling flexibility may be available based on the position structure and client demand.
