L.I.F.E. Houston provides infant formula and information about proper infant nutrition. The intake process takes around 30 minutes and requires 1) photo ID for parent/caregiver; 2) baby’s birth certificate or verification of birth facts; and 3) medically necessary formulas require a note from the doctor or WIC office. When available, families can also get help with jarred baby food or infant cereal. Families can get help no more than six times before the child’s first birthday.

Montrose Grace Place provides a safe, welcoming environment for vulnerable, homeless youth of all sexual orientations and gender identities, by providing nourishment, healthy relationships, and hope for the future. Located at "The Pink Giraffe House." Must be between ages of 13-21. Entry Doors close at 7:15pm or when 25 youth have been admitted, whichever comes first. Line up outside front door starts at 5:30pm. They provide a home-cooked meal, clothing, toiletries, bus pass, small non-perishable food items, and more.

Career and Recovery Resources, Inc., (CRR) is a nonprofit, multi-service, United Way of Greater Houston agency. They help with outpatient counseling, employment services, and have a rehousing program. Programs include Alternative Drug & Alcohol Program, Career Development, Community Technology Center, Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services, Employment Services, Veteran Services, Youth Empowerment Services, etc. Regarding employment services, they help to empower job seekers with job readiness training, career guidance, job placement assistance, job retention counseling, and employment-related supportive services. Their specialized programs include persons who are skilled and unskilled workers, homeless, deaf or hearing-impaired, ex-offenders, older workers, persons challenged by a disability, and individuals recovering from substance use disorder. Many clients are economically disadvantaged and need intensive employment services with case management to overcome these obstacles. However, they also assist professionals who are highly skilled or possess college degrees, but need guidance to enter their chosen fields, change careers, or transfer skills to another source of employment.

The Houston Launch Pad (THLP) provides multiple services including employment placement, classroom training, on-the-job partnerships, assistance with housing referrals and with referrals to other services such as counseling and benefits. They also help with supportive services such as bus fare, gas cards, clothing, etc. These services are available to people recently released from prison or parolees, substance abuse clients, the homeless, and veterans. All veterans must meet the following criteria: homeless veteran, no lease or mortgage, DD214 anything accept dishonorable, valid driver's license or identification card, can be in jeopardy of becoming homeless (i.e. eviction, 3 day notices, with legitimate paperwork).
